Knoxville TN Driveway Gates
This is an ornamental tree gate we built last winter for a client located in Knoxville, TN.
6×6 Driveway Gate Posts
These driveway gate posts are made from 6x6x1/4 steel tubing. They’re powder coated with zinc rich primer and a topcoat to match the gates.
They would support much heavier gate panels if needed…nothing wrong with a little overkill 😉
Rustic Entrance Gates
Sacramento, California Gate Created by JDR Metal Art
Featuring Plasma Cut Tree & Horses
Here is a rustic driveway gate we recently custom built and shipped out to a California customer. The gate frame, pickets and metal art elements are all built from heavy duty mild steel tubing and sheet. Rather than being powder coated, our client wanted these gates to rust naturally as they age outside. Soon they will take on a reddish-brown look.
18′ Dual Swing Driveway Gates
These “dual swing” driveway gate panels are each 9′ long in order to span the customer’s 18′ wide driveway.
2000lb Rated Heavy Duty Gate Posts & Hinges
Each gate panel is mounted by heavy duty gate hinges to 6×6″ square tubing posts. The hinges are adjustable so the gates can easily be leveled. With sealed roller bearings and a 2,000 lb maximum load rating these hinges are far more than adequate enough to keep our customer’s driveway gates swinging freely for many years to come.

We worked with the NE Fence Company who handled the installation of the gates and gate openers. As you can see, they did a fantastic job of putting it all together!

Hand Built Ornamental Driveway Gates Made in the US!
We build our ornamental driveway gates by hand. Our craftsmanship is always superb and precise and we receive many compliments on the quality of construction.

Looking for a Custom Ornamental Gate Design for an Atlanta Home?
We make our designs from scratch using our customers ideas. Here’s a dual swing Atlanta driveway gate we completed to customer specs in 2014. And here’s a set of Atlanta metal gates we completed in 2015. Once we have the basic measurements of your driveway entrance and the general design theme then we are able to put together a drawing of the gate frame and a rough draft to establish the focal points of the design. Then we are able to add onto, revise, rearrange and otherwise modify the design until it looks exactly how you want it. Once the design is finalized we are ready to begin building your gate!

Wisconsin Driveway Gates
12′ Oak Tree Dual Swing Theme by JDR Metal Art
Here is one of our most recent Wisconsin driveway gates; it’s a 12′ dual swing plasma cut oak tree gate with a customized oil rubbed bronze powder coat finish. We are delivering these gates from Ohio to Green Bay, WI.
These plasma cut gates are 5’6″ tall on the outside/hinge rails. The center height is fabricated to 7’6″. Once hung from their posts, the center height of the gates will be about 8′ above grade. We used 1/8″ minimum thickness for all the 2×2″ tubing on the frame. All the pickets are cut from 3/4″ square tubing with a 14ga wall thickness.. The posts are 4×4″ square tubing with 1/4″ wall thickness. The posts and gates also have their adjustable sealed-bearing hinges prefabricated and ready to bolt together for easy installation.
Oil Rubbed Bronze Powder Coat Finish
We applied a powder coat finish to all components of these plasma cut gates. Starting with a base of zinc rich primer (formulated for superior corrosion resistance), we then added a layer of oil rubbed bronze color coat. A third and final layer, clear gloss, was then applied and baked on to bring out the metallic flake in the color coat. The clear coat also prevents oxidation and weathering of the metallic flake, thereby extending the life of the beautiful oil rubbed bronze finish and adding another layer of durability.
