The JDR Metal Art Warranty
Built for a Lifetime. Guaranteed.
At JDR Metal Art, we don’t just build custom steel and aluminum gates for driveways; we engineer legacies. We use American-sourced materials and heavy-duty fabrication techniques to ensure your entrance stands the test of time. We are so confident in our craftsmanship that we back every custom gate with the following industry-leading warranties.
1. Lifetime Structural Warranty
Coverage: JDR Metal Art guarantees to the original purchaser that the structural framework and welds of your custom gate will remain free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the product.
What is Covered:
-
Structural failure of the gate frame (e.g., bending or snapping under normal use).
-
Failure of any welded connection points.
-
Breaking of hinges or mounting brackets supplied by JDR Metal Art.
Remedy: In the unlikely event of a structural failure, JDR Metal Art will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective component at no cost to you.
2. 20-Year Powder Coat Finish Warranty
Coverage: We use a “super durable” high-performance, marine-grade powder coating process designed to withstand harsh elements. We warrant that the finish on your gate will not fail due to application defects for a period of 20 years from the date of delivery.
What is Covered:
-
Delamination: Peeling, chipping, or cracking of the powder coat layer from the base metal.
-
Excessive Fading: Discoloration or fading beyond the normal weathering standards defined by the powder manufacturer.
-
Corrosion (Aluminum Gates): Structural failure caused by corrosion on our aluminum gates.
Exclusions (What is Not Covered)
While our gates are tough, they are not indestructible. This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
-
Accidental Damage: Vehicle impact, tree limbs falling, or vandalism.
-
Improper Installation: Damage resulting from installing the gate out of level, on insufficient posts, or with improper automation equipment (if not installed by a JDR authorized partner).
-
Chemical Damage: Use of harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners on the powder coat finish.
-
Unauthorized Modifications: Drilling new holes, welding on additional brackets, or cutting the gate after it has left our shop voids the warranty.
-
Normal Wear and Tear: Minor scratches or scuffs that occur during installation and daily use are not considered manufacturer defects.
